Charter Policy

Standards of safety, service, and exclusivity


Each charter is a private, curated experience. Our policies are in place to maintain the highest standards of safety, service, and exclusivity for every guest on board.

Booking & Payment


  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your reservation.

  • The remaining balance is due 72 hours prior to departure.

Arrival & Parking


  • Guests are requested to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure a seamless boarding experience.

  • Street parking is available and preferred. Guests choosing to dine at Sindbad’s may utilize their valet service for an additional fee.

  • Charters depart promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will result in reduced charter time without refund.

  • Failure to arrive will be considered a forfeiture of the reservation, and no refund or reschedule will be provided.

Weather


  • The captain will monitor the weather leading up to the day of the cruise and has the sole discretion to cancel, delay, or terminate any charter due to inclement conditions. Safety is our top priority.

  • Inclement conditions refer to any weather or water conditions that make the charter unsafe or impractical, including storms, high winds, poor visibility, strong currents, or official advisories from the National Weather Service or local authorities.

  • If a cancellation occurs, you will have the option to reschedule (subject to availability).

  • Light rain, overcast skies, or non-hazardous conditions do not qualify for cancellation.

Mechanical Failure


In the event of mechanical failure or unforeseen operational conditions affecting the safe operation of the vessel, the captain reserves the right to delay, reschedule, modify, or cancel any charter.

If a charter is cancelled prior to departure, guests may choose between:

  • a full refund of all payments made, or

  • a one-time reschedule (subject to availability)

If a mechanical issue occurs after departure and significantly impacts the charter experience, a partial refund or charter credit may be issued at the sole discretion of the company based on the unused portion of the reservation.

Yachterlee Charters is not responsible for incidental expenses or third-party costs related to charter delays, interruptions, or cancellations.

Rescheduling


  • A one-time reschedule is permitted if requested at least 72 hours in advance (subject to availability).

  • Rescheduled charters must take place within the same season.

Cancellation Policy


  • Cancellation more than 72 hours before charter:

    • Full refund minus 25% deposit, or one-time reschedule (subject to availability).

  • Cancellation less than 72 hours before charter:

    • All payments are non-refundable and rescheduling is not permitted.

  • No-shows:

    • No refund or reschedule will be provided.

Passenger Limits & Conduct


  • Maximum of six (6) passengers, in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

  • All guest must be at least 90lbs.

  • Children are not allowed as the vessel does not have Child Type I PFD’s.

  • For the safety of all aboard, passengers must comply with all instructions given by the captain.

  • The captain reserves the right to refuse service or terminate the charter without refund if passengers are excessively intoxicated or if unsafe or unlawful behavior occurs.

Yachting Etiquette


To maintain a clean and safe environment, the following rules apply while on board the vessel:

  • No shoes ( will be placed in basket )

  • No open cups

  • No smoking

  • No standing on seats

  • No sharp objects in pockets (keys, etc.)

  • No swimming

  • No sitting, standing, or climbing on unsafe areas while underway

  • Flush only toilet paper

Refund Processing


Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

By booking with Yachterlee Charters Inc., you acknowledge and agree to all policies outlined above.
